Poem 4 : “Snowball” ( by Shel Shiverstine)

Paraphrase :

The author makes a snowball and takes care of the snowball by making it some pajamas and giving it a pillow but, the snowball runs away leaving behind a funny twist at it wets its bed before leaving.

Attitude:

This poem has a active, funny attitude. Making a snowball pet seems to be taken quite seriously by the speaker, and the unexpected ending gives a funny twist.

Shift:

The two last lines are where the tone shifts from the snowball's fun creation to its surprise and funny wetting of the bed and disappearance.

Opinion:

This poem, in my opinion, covers childish imagination and life's surprise in a really lovely and funny way.

Recommendation:

This poetry is really interesting, so I would certainly recommend it to friends.
